Just plain scary… (Taurus Raging Bull M500 with 2” barrel. Chambered in 500 S&W Magnum, the cartridge itself is longer than the barrel. I have one of these EXCEPT it has a 10” barrel and that is still a handful of recoil. I wouldn’t recommend this 2” version unless you’re experienced with high recoil revolvers or you load only one round in the cylinder. Because the recoil can be so massive, with a weak or improper grip, there is a good chance for a double-tap. Might accidentally shoot someone behind or to the side of you or even shoot yourself in the face.)
How NOT to hold a revolver… (This is just an example image that’s been around for a while. Novice and beginner shooters who have only had time with semi-auto handguns, may make the mistake of gripping a revolver they way they grip a semi-auto. This will certainly cause injury to the gases escaping the cylinder gaps. The larger the caliber the more damage done by the gas. A 500 S&W Magnum will tear apart or even completely severe your thumb off if you were to hold the revolver like this.)
